Do you like songs about Nature, Adventure, Death, and Flowers?
My friend, you are in the right place!
Flowers For Eyes
Flowers For Eyes is Lauren Podjun’s first full-length album, released in April of 2023. All the songs were written when Lauren was just a teenager, ages 15-19 years old. Years later she would team up with Aidan Roberts at Tango Studios to create this time capsule of stories and songs born from her youth but brought to life in her early adulthood.
The character on the album art for Flowers For Eyes was drawn by Lauren’s twin, Leslie Podjun; a being that was conjured up in Leslie’s young imagination when Lauren would tell them of her childhood imaginary friend.
Other Music
This set of songs was recored to be a part of the 2019 and 2020 Wyoming Singer Songwriter Competition documentation collection. Every year the storytellers and songwriters of Wyoming gather to share their music with one another. I am lucky enough to have been a contestant in this event and later a judge. All 6 of these songs are wildly different in story and genre. I hope you enjoy them!
I Buy My Boy Flowers
This song is meant to draw awareness to the fact that men in our society don’t receive enough love. Men deserve love and affection just as much as women. So go out there and buy your father, brother, best friend, boyfriend, grandpa, or male stranger that works at your local coffee shop a bouquet of flowers!
The Doctor, Death and I
This song was written in the Spring of 2020. It is the story about a young traveler who witnesses the journey between doctors as they stroll along with the Grim Reaper; Death himself.
